Schafpate, die Romantische Alb = The Romantic Mountain Pastures of the Shepherds. This is another brilliant sock yarn from Opal, and is in sponsorship of the local shepherds of Germany. Part of the proceeds of the Schafpate project are going to a conservation project called BiospherAlb, linking protection of the environment and the social and economic development of the people living in this center for migratory sheep-farming, located about 50km Southeast of Stuttgart.
